  1. Do you charge pet rent?
    Yes, there is a one-time fee of $300/pet, which is due when you move in to your apartment, plus $15/month pet rent for one pet, or $20/month total pet rent for two pets. Our apartment community is pet friendly. We just added a NEW Dog Park in Spring 2017, plus several of our pet-friendly apartment buildings allow large dogs (more than 25 pounds).
     
  2. Will my apartment have washer/dryer connections?
    Yes, every apartment home has a laundry/utility room with washer and dryer hookups. We also have 2 shared laundry facilities, one located in the club house and the second in the leasing office.
     
  3. Can I have an outdoor grill on my apartment deck or patio?
    Yes, you may have an electric grill. By order of the fire marshal, gas or charcoal grills are not permitted. We also have three outdoor charcoal grills located on site in the stone fireplace and BBQ areas, so if you want that charcoal taste, you can still have it.
     
  4. Do you have any 1-bedroom or efficiency apartments?
    No, we only have 2-bedroom apartments and 3-bedroom apartments at Fox Lake. All 3-bedroom apartments are located on the 2nd or 3rd (top) floor of the buildings. All ground level or first floor apartments are 2-bedroom layouts, some of which have a bonus room.
     
  5. What kinds of dogs are allowed in the apartments?
    We do not allow German Shepherds, Rotweilers, Pit Bulls or other dog breeds that are known to be aggressive or dangerous. Please note that all dogs, no matter the size or breed, must be approved by the property manager prior to move in. If your dog has a history of biting people for whatever reason, we cannot accept them on property. This is for the safety and well-being of all of our residents. Your animal's shot records and a veterinarian recommendation may be required prior to approval and move-in. Don't get us wrong; we love animals! We just want to make sure we do everything in our power to ensure the safety and comfort of all residents and guests.
     
  6. Is your property handicap accessible?
    Yes! We have handicap accessible apartment buildings with wide, code-compliant ramps and handicap accessible apartment home units. If you need a handicap accessible apartment or any special modifications made to the home due to medical reasons, please let us know when you call, email or visit, so we can best serve you.
     
  7. Is there public transportation nearby?
    Yes! There is a KAT Bus stop less than 1 mile from our apartment community.
     
  8. Do you have recycling collection?
    We have 3 trash drop-off centers on property, but we do not have recycling collection on the property. There is a recycling center just down the road, less than 1 mile from our apartment community, where you can drop off your recycling.
     
  9. You have wood-burning fireplaces in most apartments. Can I keep firewood on my patio or deck?
    Yes, of course! You can keep firewood on your private patio or deck, so long as it is stacked neatly.
     
  10. Do you have overhead lighting in bedrooms, or do I have to bring all my own lighting?
    Yes, we have overhead lighting in all bedrooms. Of course, you may bring additional lighting, like floor lamps, but it's not necessary.
     
  11. What are my cable, Internet and phone options?
    Comcast/Xfinity is our preferred provider for cable, Internet and phone, but you may pick from any available service providers. Some choices include AT&T U-verse, and DirecTV.
     
  12. Do you have furnished or corporate apartments available for rent?
    No, we do not provide any furnished or corporate apartments at this time.
     
  13. What will my utility providers be?
    All utilities at Fox Lake are individually metered.
    For Water and Sewer – West Knox Utility District
    For Gas and Electric – Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB)
    Cable, Satelite, Internet and Phone – It's up to you! Choose from the options listed above in #11.
     
  14. What should I expect to pay for my utilities?
    On average, you will pay $70 to $125 each month to KUB for gas and electric and between $40 and $60 per month to West Knox Utility District for water and sewer.
     
  15. How do you handle service requests?
    We offer 24-hour emergency maintenance service, 365 days per year. We always have a maintenance person on call at night and on weekends. We also have a full-time staff on site each day Monday through Friday.
     
  16. I want to bring my dog. What are your policies for pets living on property?
    That's great! We can't wait to meet your pup. We require that all pets be kept on a leash when walking or playing on property and that you clean up after you pet. We have doggy waste clean-up stations located throughout the property for your ease and convenience.
     
  17. I have a ton of clothes/shoes/stuff. What are my options for storage and closet space?
    You're in luck, because at Fox Lake, every apartment has deep walk-in closets, offering plenty of storage in your apartment. If you have excess or want to work on your car, work with tools or just spread things out a bit, you may also rent a storage unit on property for an additional monthly rent.
     
  18. Do you offer less than 12-month leases?
    We can offer 6-month or 7-to-11-month leases for additional $185/month or $175/month, respectively, during specific times of the year and depending on our availability. Please call the office to see if we are offering these short-term leases. Availability of 6-month and 7-to-11-month leases is subject to change without notice.
     
  19. Can I rent the clubhouse?
    Yes, residents may reserve the clubhouse for 4 hours at a time for birthday parties, events or other gatherings for a $25 cleaning fee. Please call our office at 865-531-6100 to reserve your date.
     
  20. What fees and deposits are required?
  • $45/applicant 18-years and older for an application and credit and criminal background report
  • $300 Cleaning Fee due at time of reservation (reservation fee).
  • $300 Base Security Deposit due at time of application approval. Additional security deposits may be required depending on credit, income and rental history.
  • $100 Admin Fee due at move-in.
  • $300 non-refundable Smoking Fee + $10/month Smoking Fee for smokers.
  • $300 non-refundable Pet Fee per pet + $15/month Pet Rent for one pet or $20/month total Pet Rent for two pets.
